Chisinau, April 20 / MOLDPRES /- The promulgation decree and the Law amending Article 251 of Law No 3/2016 on the Prosecutor's Office were published today in the Official Journal and entered into force.

The amendments to the legislation aim to clarify some pre-selection and selection procedures for candidates for the post of specialized prosecutors to ensure more transparent procedures.

The document also sees that the pre-selection phase of the candidates consists of two stages - the primary verification of the eligibility of the candidates who have expressed an interest in participating in the competition, as well as the interviewing and evaluation of the remaining candidates.
