One third of bypass road carried out in village from south Moldova district

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/ - The progress of the works for the construction of a bypass road of the Slobozia Mare settlement, southern Cahul district, and difficulties faced in carrying out the contract today were discussed by representatives of the State Administration of Roads (ASD) at a working meeting with the entrepreneur.
“The building of 18.2 km of the bypass road of the Slobozia Mare settlement shows a progress of about 37 per cent in carrying out the works, with the entrepreneur assuming the finishing of the basic works in next September. Presently, the entrepreneur carries out works of setting small bridges, finishes the embankment works and plans to start the substratum of ballast,’’ ASD said.
The contract signed with Metag Insaat Ticaret A.S provides for works of full construction of the road system on a width of roadway of 7 metres, including 550,000 cubic metres of embankment, 31 small bridges, three public transport stops, road marking and setting of 960 road signs.
The works for construction of the road, which makes connection with the Giurgiulesti customs, border with Romania, are worth over 18 million euros, provided as loan by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to Moldova’s government.
