Workshop of painting Easter Eggs opened at Chisinau-based museum

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/ - A workshop for painting Easter Eggs today was opened at the National Ethnography and Natural History Museum from Chisinau. The participants had possibility to learn techniques of painting and decorative motifs practiced in the Romanian cultural space for centuries.
The workshop is guided by a popular craftswoman, university lecturer at the Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy Iarîna Savițkaia-Baraghin and employees of the communication and public relations section. During two hours, visitors were able to know and learn techniques of painting with wax, covering all stages. The pieces made by visitors will fill the collection of Easter Eggs of the museum.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, an employee of the museum, Snejana Crudu, said the workshop had been organized for more than 20 years.
The oldest collections of painted Easter Eggs, preserved at the National Ethnography and Natural History Museum, date back from 1906.
