Chisinau, April 21 / MOLDPRES /- Refugees from Ukraine will receive free legal aid from four regional dialogue platforms for access to justice, thanks to support from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Sweden.
The platforms, which operate in Soroca, Criuleni, Cimișlia districts, as well as in Gagauzia will help people fleeing the war to obtain refugee status, process their identity documents, obtain the personal numerical code for employment, enroll their children in school and preschool institutions etc.
The platforms were created as part of the Swedish-funded project Strengthening Efficiency and Access to Justice in Moldova, implemented by UNDP Moldova, in partnership with the Institute for Criminal Reform. Psychological counseling will also be provided on the platforms, in individual and group sessions, also conducted in Ukrainian, to be accessible to all. For this, the Platforms will hire among the refugees psychologists as well as pedagogues who will organize activities for children and young people coming from Ukraine. With the support of Sweden and UNDP, more than 2,500 packages of hygiene and food products will also be offered.
