Moldovan, Romanian customs authorities to act jointly during Easter holidays

Chisinau, April 21 / MOLDPRES /- The customs authorities of the Republic of Moldova and Romania have ordered, during the Easter holidays, administrative and organizational measures to ensure the smooth flow of cross-border traffic, to effectively manage the flow of goods and passengers through the common border crossing points between the two countries.

According to the Customs Service, on April 21 -May 15, taking into account the context generated by the situation in Ukraine, both institutions will synchronize their activities with those of the territorial structures of the other authorities with border control tasks, will use all available control tracks. for the management of the flow of passengers and goods, both on the way in and on the way out, and, where the situation so requires, will supplement the number of customs officials in the customs offices / border posts.

At the same time, the activity of the Mobile Teams will be intensified, providing a second line of control throughout the country, so that fraud that could harm the state budget will not be allowed.

For persons intending to cross the border, the Customs Service has set up a Single Call Center (+373 22 78 8888), where they can request information on the rules for the passage of goods and means of transport across the customs border, as well as report any acts of corruption or abuse by customs officials.

At the same time, on the page of the Customs Service can be accessed the column "Online traffic at border customs posts". Thus, participants in cross-border traffic can plan their optimal route, as they have the opportunity to view in real time the number of means of transport at the crossing points with the highest traffic values.
