Moldovan Central Electoral Commission sets up ten electoral constituency councils

Chisinau, 21 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has summoned the constituency electoral councils in those ten settlements where new local polls will be held.

At a today’s meeting, CEC ruled to relieve the members of the constituency electoral councils from the duties at their permanent working places and to summon them for setting up the constituency electoral councils of the first level.

At the same time, CEC approved the organization charts of those ten constituency electoral councils necessary for the organization and holding of the new local elections.

On 29 May, new local elections will take place in ten settlements of Moldova. The mayor is to be elected in eight settlements and elections will be held for the composition of local councils in two settlements.
