Moldovan president has meeting with Polish top leadership in Warsaw

Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 14 July paid an official visit to Poland, at an invitation by Polish President Andrzej Duda. In Warsaw, the head of state had bilateral discussions with her Polish counterpart and had meetings with the top leadership of the Sejm and Senate of Poland, the presidential press service has reported.
„I am in Warsaw this evening, at an invitation by President Andrzej Duda, a good friend of our country, in order to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Moldova and Poland,’’ Maia Sandu said.
According to President Maia Sandu, her visit to Warsaw is a good occasion to discuss with President Andrzej Duda important subjects on the bilateral cooperation. ‘’The visit gives me a good occasion to discuss with Mr. President the joint projects initiated by our countries, the bilateral economic cooperation and our states’ efforts to help Ukraine in the context of the war triggered by Russia. At the same time, I have occasion to thank President Duda for the consistent support on behalf of his country for Moldova’s European integration. Poland stays a reliable partner of Moldova, with which we want to develop a good cooperation in continuation,’’ Maia Sandu noted.
The advancement of the bilateral dialogue between Moldova and Poland was the subject of 14 July evening discussions between President Maia Sandu and Marshall of Polish Sejm Elżbieta Witek and Marshall of Poland’s Senate Tomasz Grodzki.
