Moldova, Bulgaria to identify new investment, bilateral business opportunities

Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRES/ - The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Valeriu Lazar met Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Economy Daniela Vezieva today. The officials broached the boosting of cooperation ties and development of joint projects for economic operators. 

Lazar underlined that, in the context of Moldova's European Integration, Bulgaria represented a key partner, as the latter had already passed through the accession process and had the necessary experience which might help us get familiarised faster and more efficiently with the European standards.

“The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the legal representative of business environment in relationship with authorities, and via missions, training seminars, exhibitions, different meetings, we have set the goal to inform economic agents about the European requirements, as well as about the possibilities due to appear once the latter observed. Even if Bulgaria has a structure of economy similar to Moldova's one, nevertheless, I believe that there is potential to develop the bilateral trade and we are attractive from investment viewpoint,” Lazar added. 

The CCI management invited the Bulgarian delegation, as well as Bulgarian companies, to Made in Moldova national exhibition, organised by the Moldovan Chamber.

For her part,  Daniela Vezieva said that  “more cooperation agreements between Bulgaria and Moldova have been signed along the time, which laid the foundations of the economic development between the two states. We intend to boost cooperation by projects developed jointly, different meetings, thus giving possibility to operators from both states to communicate and identify new business partners.”

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova is the partner of more Bulgarian support organisations within several business support projects, among which East Invest, Euro-chambers, Balkan Bureau of Middle Class, Inno-Food See – Setting up the innovation support mechanisms and enhancing awareness about the potential of innovation, research and technological development in the food industry in the South-East Europe.”
