Moldova starts holiday programme on National Wine Day

Chisinau, 3 October /MOLDPRES/- Ten wineries from Moldova proposed holiday programmes on the occasion of National Wine Day on 3-4 October. The events will be held under the single brand "Vinul Moldovei. O legenda vie" (Moldovan wine. A living legend).
The activities scheduled for the event will take place in the wineries: „Cricova”, „Asconi”, „Purcari”, „Et Cetera”, „Castel Mimi”, „Mileștii Mici”, „Chateau Vartely”, „Migdal-P” and "Poiana".
"The programme includes local activities of recreation, which will bring visitors closer to the traditions of Moldovan winemaking", Agriculture and Food Minister Ion Sula said.
The activities occasioned by the event are coordinated by the National Wine and Vine Office, which made available to everyone a desk for information. Promotional materials with tourist destinations, schedule of transport are distributed there.
Near the Chisinau International Airport, another information counter was opened, where a group of young persons offers flyers and wine tours maps to tourists. Ten thousand bottles of wine having a special design "Welcome to Moldova" have been prepared for guests arriving in Moldova.
Transport to wineries is offered free of charge to everyone.
The National Wine Day is marked on 3-4 October. Because of the protest rallies carried out on the Great National Assembly Square, this year the event is marked in new format.
