Moldovan acting premier pays unexpected visit to emergency medicine institute

Chisinau, 3 November /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister Gheorghe Brega today inspected the block No 4 of the Emergency Medicine Institute from Chisinau. Brega showed interest, in particular, in the institution's operational capacity, given that the Traumatology Clinical Hospital is to be merged with the Emergency Medical institute, in line with the reforms underway in the health sector, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
The director of the Emergency Medicine Institute, Mihail Ciocanu, said the institution was willing to carry out the treatment of complex injuries from all over Moldova to the full extent. At the same time, he specified that the building was not fully functional, as it was further necessary to set the ventilation system and electricity networks, for which the needed money has been already earmarked.
The acting prime minister said the relocation of the Traumatology Clinical Hospital in the building of the Emergency Medicine Institute was not possible for the time being, and a decision to this end was to be taken in the next six months, after the works' completion.
At the same time, Gheorghe Brega said that, in the process of the medial institutions' merger, it was important to preserve the staff of physicians and turn to good account the experience the latter have gained during years.
