Chisinau hosts exhibition dedicated to heraldry identities of Moldova

Chisinau, 3 November /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition titled "The Heraldry Identities of Moldova," was inaugurated at the National History Museum today.
The event was occasioned by the 25th anniversary of the adoption of Moldova's State Flag and Coat of Arms, as well as by the 20th anniversary of the foundation of the National Heraldry Commission under the Moldovan President.
The exhibition was organised by the National Heraldry Commission, Heraldry Office at the Moldovan president's apparatus and the aforementioned museum.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, Moldova's state heraldry specialist, deputy chairman of the National Heraldry Commission, PhD Silviu Tabac has said the exhibition comprised about 350 works, including coats of arms and flags, orders, crosses, medals and badges, as well as uniforms, which shows Moldova's own way in this field and the achievements of the specialty commission in these two decades.
Attending the event, Secretary General of President's Apparatus Ion Paduraru said the exhibition was set to arouse the interest of visitors of all ages, Moldovans and foreigners, as well as of all those interested in heraldry and the related areas.
Moldova's State Flag - the blue-yellow-red Tricolour, with the Coat of Arms inside the yellow part, was adopted on 27 April 1990 and used without the image of the coat of arms till the latter's legislation. Moldova has been marking the State Flag Day starting from 2010. Moldova's Coat of Arms, made by Gheorghe Vrabie and Maria Dogaru, was adopted on 3 November 1990. Starting from 2013, the Coat of Arms Day has been celebrated on the State Flag Day.
The exhibition will be open for public till 15 January 2016.
