Moldovan acting government increases monthly allocation for World War II veterans

Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/ - The acting cabinet at a today's meeting approved a decision on increasing the monthly state allocation for the World War II veterans by 300 lei starting from 1 January 2016, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
Thus, the allocation for the participants in the Second World War will stand at 700 lei. The veterans with the first degree of invalidity will receive 1,000 lei, the second-degree invalidity veterans - 850 lei and the veterans with the third degree - 775 lei. Presently, 1,453 people benefit from such allocations.
The increase will not be applied on people who were awarded orders and medals for assiduous work and impeccable military service in the rear during the World War II. These beneficiaries will further receive the current monthly allocation.
To fulfill the provisions of the present decision, 5.2 million lei will be earmarked from the state budget for 2016.
