Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/ - The parliamentary group headed by former Prime Minister Iurie Leanca will not take part in the creation of a new parliamentary majority with the participation of the Communist Party of Moldova (PCRM).
According to Leanca, the faction of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) rushed into taking the decision not to participate in negotiations and should revise it. “I do not think we and the Communists have any common approaches. Our only solution is to make an alliance with PLDM,” Leanca said.
Following the meeting of its National Political Council on 4 November, PLDM informed that it would not participate in the negotiations initiated by the Democratic Party (PDM) to create a new parliamentary majority. Democrats criticized PLDM’s decision today, stressing that that they would continue negotiations “to provide Moldova with a pro-European government soon, able to implement quick reforms and ensure stability."
