Euraxess Caravan arrives in Moldova

Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Euraxess Researchers in Motion programme's caravan has reached the Academy of Sciences (ASM) today. This is a unique initiative of the European Commission, which gives researchers and research institutions possibility to invite experts from abroad for exchange of experience, as well as researchers from Moldova's scientific diaspora.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the programme's executive officer, Dorina Harea, has said that Euraxess is aimed at helping interested people to make a short probation or find a job at a research institution from Europe, as the programme provides a wide range of information and assistance services.
Thus, over 200 researchers had possibility to access, in the coach which came from Brussels along with two experts, a portal to find a job in a European country and place their CVs.
According to Dorina Harea, the caravan started in Brussels and makes a tour to 34 cities of 16 European states (Belgium, France, Switzerland, Portugal, etc.) during two months, to present information of success stories of researchers, jobs in research and opportunities of financing. The caravan has arrived in Chisinau, at a request by the international projects centre at ASM.
Also today, the Euraxess Services Centre (central Moldova region) was opened at ASM. In last February, the Services Centre South was inaugurated at the State University of Comrat and the Euraxess Services Centre North will be opened at the A. Russo State University from Balti till late 2015.
The Euraxess caravan will head for Iasi, Romania, from Chisinau, and will reach Warsaw later on.
