Exhibition dedicated to China inaugurated at Moldovan National Library

Chisinau, 10 November /MOLDPRES/ -  A photo exhibition, Silk Road - A New Perspective, and Tempo of China, was inaugurated at the Chisinau-based National Library. The event is organised by the Chinese embassy in Moldova, in partnership with the host institution. 

The exhibition comprises 60 works made by professional photographers and ameteur ones from China, and has two divisions: Silk Road - A New Perspective, and Tempo of China. 

According to organisers, Tempo of China is an exhibition of photographs, aimed at presenting China's spirit from a viewpoint of quick and convincing development: the one of a nation full of energy and vitality. China of the 21st century, with its energy and prosperity, is in the focus. 

Silk Road - A New Perspective unveils China's initiative to restore the land and sea Silk Road.  

Contacted by MOLDPRES, Ambassador of China to Moldova Zhang Yinghong said the initiative to jointly edify the Silk Road is aimed to promote the connection between Asia, Europe and Africa, create multidimensional connection networks and carry out a diversified, independent, balanced and sustainable development of these countries.

"The Chinese government wants to revive the Silk Road, from the building of which all countries, due to be connected to this roads' infrastructure, will benefit. The setting up of a belt will create friendly conditions for trade. I am happy that Moldova has welcomed this initiative. I hope that the relations between our countries will witness a deeper development. Presently, Moldova exports wines to China by sea. By land, the Moldovan wines might reach China quicker,"  the Chinese ambassador added.

The exhibition will be open for public till 25 November.
