Moldovan acting deputy premier attends 90th Rose-Roth seminar of NATO Parliamentary Assembly

Chisinau, 12 November /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Deputy Prime Minister Victor Osipov today participated in a session titled, Transnistrian Region: Looking for a Solution, of the Rose-Roth Regional Seminar, held in Chisinau. In his speech, Osipov referred to efforts of the political class and civil society to identify a viable solution to the Transnistrian conflict, the bureau for reintegration has reported.
Victor Osipov stressed that the Transnistrian conflict settlement and Moldova's reintegration continued to be priority objectives for the Moldovan leadership. The main goal of the state's authorities is to work out and a dopt a special legal status for the Transnistrian region, as integral part of Moldova, the acting deputy prime minister said.
Osipov also referred to the present political situation, the carrying out of the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue. He reiterated that the Transnistrian problem settlement can be achieved exclusively by means of peaceful negotiations.
The 90th Rose-Roth regional seminar titled, European Future of Moldova: Regional Context and Domestic Challenges, organised by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in cooperation with the Moldovan parliament, is held in Chisinau on 11-13 November. Attending the seminar are MPs from the NATO member and partner states, experts from the academic and non-governmental environments, as well as representatives of international organisations.
