Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ - A lawmaker of the Liberal Party (PL), Mihaela Iacob, has given up the MP mandate. She submitted an application to this end to the parliament's secretariat on 3 November.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the PL press service said that, "in the filed application, the MP invoked that she leaves the lawmaker post for personal reasons. Subsequently, she is to return to her old office from the Chisinau city hall."
Mihaela Iacob became MP after three Liberal lawmakers, former employees of the city hall, had given up their mandates in favour of the earlier held offices. Before taking over the post of MP, Mihaela Iacob held the office of deputy head of the Chisinau city hall's general department of architecture, urbanism and land relations and exercised the post of deputy information technologies minister.
According to PL's electoral list, the former deputy head of the central Telenesti district, Valerian Bejan, is to take over the vacant seat of MP.
