Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Victor Osipov today participated in an international scientific conference titled, Political Science and Changing Society. The event was organised by the International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences Faculty at the State University of Moldova (USM), to mark the 20th anniversary of the faculty's foundation.
On this occasion, the acting deputy prime minister gave a congratulatory message and wished good success to the faculty's teachers and students.
In a speech given at the conference, Victor Osipov highly appreciated the qualitative theoretical and didactic basis of the institution and the level of education at this faculty. The latter asserted itself through nice results not only among Moldovan higher education establishments, but also among the ones from abroad. Numerous famous politicians and diplomats, who bring their considerable contribution to the promotion and protection of Moldova's interests, as well as the country's modernisation, graduated from the aforementioned faculty.
Victor Osipov highlighted the important role the government attaches to the Moldovan diplomacy in settling numerous problems of home and foreign policy. And this especially in the conditions of new international relations following the declaration of Moldova's independence, when the country has been facing many problems, among which a particularly complicated one - settlement of the Transnistrian conflict and the country's reintegration.
