European Parliament president shows concern about developments in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - The political situation in Moldova, agenda of reforms, energy security, the country's European integration were the main subjects of a 17 November meeting between Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu and European Parliament President Martin Schulz, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The European Parliament president showed concern about the developments in Moldova and urged the Chisinau political class to find solutions to swear in a government backed by a sustainable parliamentary coalition. "Moldova needs a stable government, in order to diminish the country's energy dependence," Martin Schulz stressed.
Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu gave assurances that the Moldovan authorities were looking for solutions to create a new stable parliamentary majority and swear in a cabinet able to assume painful, yet necessary reforms.
