Moldovan acting cabinet amends regulation on transparency of decision-making process

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/-The acting cabinet today amended and supplemented government’s decision No. 96 of 16 February 2010 regulating the enforcement of the law on the transparency of the decision-making process, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The new provisions included in the regulation on the transparency of the decision-making process, indicate the authorities compelled to observe the provisions of the law on the transparency of the decision-making process, responsibilities of the Moldovan State Chancellery in charge of monitoring the implementation of the law, as well as a string of regulations on the deadline and conditions for the development of the respective procedures.
Moreover, the regulation sees that all decision-making authorities implying a possible social, economic and environment impact, must be obliged to ensure access to their draft decisions and adjacent materials. The acting cabinet had also extended the deadline for the examination and public consultation of the draft decisions from “at most 15 working days” to “at least ten working days”.
The document also sees that interested persons may ask the public authority in charge to extend the deadline for submitting recommendations and suggestions on draft decisions.
