Moldovan deputy PM, French ambassador discuss cooperation ties

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/-Deputy Prime Minister Victor Osipov met French Ambassador to Moldova Pascal Vagogne today, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
In the beginning of the meeting, Osipov reiterated the profound regret and solidarity with the French people, adding that Moldova condemns terrorism and spokes out for the unification of efforts to ensure a stable safety throughout Europe and the entire world.
Vagogne thanked Moldova for its quick solidarity response, praising the important number of citizens of various ages, who visited the French embassy in Chisinau during these sad days.
During the subsequent talks, the French ambassador informed the Moldovan official of the intention to organise a meeting of French ambassadors accredited to countries in the region, in Chisinau on 23-24 November 2014. One of the purposes of the meeting is to get better knowledge of Moldova’s situation and tackle regional and international security.
Osipov touched upon the latest evolution of the dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol on the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.
At the end of the meeting, French Ambassador to Moldova Pascal Vagogne reconfirmed the availability of the French diplomatic mission to enhance cooperation with Moldovan authorities.
