Chisinau International Airport informs on boosting security measures

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - The administration of the Chisinau International Airport in cooperation with the Border Police today instructed to boost security measures at the airport, in order to enhance passengers' security.
The move is undertaken given the latest manifestations related to terrorism from the civil aviation, as well as the terror attacks committed in Paris on 13 November.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, sources of the Airport's administration said that "the aeronautic security employees and crew members will be additionally trained at the institution. A more rigorous security control before passengers' flights will be carried out, and the security service will deal with the video monitoring, as well as intense checking of the luggage and cargo carried by aircrafts."
At the same time, the airport's leadership ruled to increase the number of aeronautic security employees and bolster their activity in the flow of passengers. Also, service dogs will be involved in checking the luggage, in order to discover explosive substances.
The airport authorities will also carry out a thorough checking of the staff and transport involved in the reconstruction of the terminal and airdrome, as well as an additional control of the vehicles parked nearby the airport.
