Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) speaks out for a politically non-affiliated prime minister. PLDM acting leader Valeriu Strelet made a statement to this effect following consultations with President Nicolae Timofti today evening.
According to Strelet, his formation insists on the earlier put conditions and demands urgent taking the state institutions out of captivity and resignation of Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu. "I see no point in discussions with the Democratic Party (PDM), unless they publicly announce the attitude towards every condition put. There will be prerequisites for debates only after that," Strelet said.
He specified that a solution to resume talks would be delegation by the European political families of a politician who would help parties reach common mind.
Under the law, after the cabinet is dismissed, the head of state must have consultations with the parliamentary factions, in order to nominate a new prime minister. The government led by Valeriu Strelet was dismission with the votes of the MPs of the Democratic Party, Party of Communists and Party of Socialists on 29 October.
