Regional Cooperation Council to back Moldova in European integration

Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi today had a meeting with Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Goran Svilanovic, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media communication service has reported.
The officials exchanged opinions on the activities organised so far within RCC, as well as the present situation in the South Eastern Europe.
Tudor Ulianovschi highlighted the importance of regional cooperation to strengthen Moldova's European integration. At the same time, the deputy minister reiterated Moldova's interest to contribute to the goals of the South East Europe 2020 Strategy, especially through the country's participation in regional initiatives and organisations.
The RCC secretary general appreciated Moldova's progress in the dialogue with EU and reaffirmed the Regional Cooperation Council's commitment to back Moldova in the European integration process and reforms' implementation, including in the education sector, preventing and fighting corruption, promotion of trade and investment policies, public health and other priority fields for Moldova. Goran Svilanovic stressed the significance to press ahead with the projects and reforms underway.
