Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/- The MPs today ruled to hold a special meeting on 2 December, to hear reports by state institutions on the bank fraud.
The initiative belongs to Socialists, who demanded that, one year after the three banks had been robbed, the institutions in charge of investigating the case on the three problem banks should come up with a report. “We request that the hearings be held today, as this is a well-known subject,” the leader of the Party of Socialists, Igor Dodon, said.
After more consultations, the lawmakers of the Party of Communists asked for the hearings to be held at a special meeting. The proposal was backed by the Democrats and Liberals.
In late 2014, large amounts of money were purloined from three banks of Moldova.
