Moldovan Interior Ministry launches anti-corruption campaign

Chisinau, 30 November /MOLDPRES/-The Interior Ministry (MAI) today launched the “MAI against corruption” campaign to prevent and combat corruption, and also to promote integrity among its employees.
According to the ministry, the campaign will consist of more activities, such as a contest for drafting an Anti-corruption Slogan for 2016, a painting contest entitled “My father/mother is integral” for children of the ministry’s employees, training workshops and scientific-practical conferences on combating corruption within the ministry from the prospect of the EU integration, as well as distribution of booklets with anti-corruption messages at state border crossing points.
Participants in the contests will be awarded diplomas and financial prizes.
The Interior Ministry will also sign collaboration agreements with Moldovan non-governmental organizations in the field to consolidate partnership ties between law-enforcement bodies and the civil society.
The “MAI against corruption” campaign will be held during 30 November 2015 – 1 February 2016. It will precede the International Anti-corruption Day annually marked on 9 December.
