Moldovan farmers to be able to import tax-free petroleum products

Chisinau, 3 December /MOLDPRES/-The Moldovan parliament today adopted a draft law allowing farmers to import petroleum products for personal use without having a license.

According to the draft law, farmers will no more be obliged to own deposits and minimum capital. Farmers registered as legal persons based on a declaration will be entitled to buy petroleum directly from the manufacturer, without paying a license tax. Import authorizations will be issued by the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE).

The draft law sees that the Contravention Code will soon be amended in order to avoid petroleum smuggling.

The draft is part of the agricultural law package and was voted by the majority of MPs present in the session hall.
