New local polls to be held in two Moldovan settlements

Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today took a decision on the holding of new local elections in the villages Ochiul Ros, Anenii Noi district, and Sarata-Galbena, Hincesti district, after the mayors of the two settlements had resigned from post.
The village council of Sarata-Galbena took note of the mayor's resignation, in connection with the incompatibility of his office with the one of Moldovan MP, and the mayor of Ochiul Ros gave up his mandate, given the worsening of his health condition.
In this respect, CEC is to approve models of ballot papers and stamp, due to be a applied in voters' identity cards, as well as to accredit observers due to monitor the polls in the two villages.
General local polls took place in Moldova on 14 June 2015, during which mayors, local and district councils were elected.
