Moldovan ambassador presents credentials to King of Sweden

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - Moldovan Ambassador to Sweden Veaceslav Dobinda on 15 December presented the letters of accreditation to His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media communication service has reported.
His Majesty wished the Moldovan ambassador success in his diplomatic mission. The Swedish King expressed confidence in the ascending continuation and strengthening of the Moldovan-Swedish relations in all sectors of mutual interest.
The meeting with King Carl XVI Gustaf was focused on aspects dealing with the bilateral ties, implicitly from the viewpoint of historical interconnections, developments of Moldova's European integration, in the context of enforcement of the Moldova-European Union Association Agreement, development of economic relations through the light of opportunities provided by the Free Trade Area, relations with the neighbour countries and situation in the region, use of all available instruments offered by the Eastern Partnership in the perspective of promoting domestic multidimensional reforms.
Also, the Moldovan ambassador and the King of Sweden exchanged opinions on the Transnistrian conflict settlement, by observing Moldova's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the perspective of observing the international commitments assumed by Russia concerning the full withdrawal of its military troops and ammunitions from the territory of a neutral state.
In the context of a recent adoption of the agreement on limiting global warming by the 195 states participating in the Paris Climate Change Conference, the sides highlighted the national goals to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions, as well as development of technologies and efficiency of the renewable energy.
At the same time, Ambassador Veaceslav Dobinda stressed the importance of a constant political support, implementation of assistance projects for development, as well as a substantial financial assistance on behalf of Sweden, in order to carry out reforms for the benefit of the citizens and advancement of Moldova's European integration.
