Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/-The cabinet today tackled the illicit transport of passengers, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

Acting Prime Minister Gheorghe Brega requested that the Interior Ministry and the Transports and Road Infrastructure Ministry work out a comprehensive list of countries Moldova has signed passenger transportation agreements with, as well as a list of companies holding the right to transport passengers. The ministries were also required to include the number of registered vehicles transporting passengers on the list.

“We need this information in order to allow the Border Police and the Customs Service to acquire the necessary data and monitor the observance of the legal provisions,” Brega said.

Acting Interior Minister Oleg Brega today unveiled information on the actions taken to verify the legality of the activity of the pharmacies placed inside medical institutions. In this context, Balan said the activity of 17 of them was illegal, and respectively, had been sanctioned.

In this sense, the acting prime minister required that authorities in charge take all the measures in compliance with the legislation in force, taking into account the fact that health care facilities cannot host private pharmacies, which must end their activity within one week.
