Moldovan businessman returns to Democratic Party

Chisinau, 21 December /MOLDPRES/- Businessman Vladimir Plahotniuc today announced he returned to the Democratic Party (PDM) and would directly participate in forming parliamentary majority. He said it on a social networking website.
The PDM’s former first deputy head said he would directly participate in forming parliamentary majority meant to ensure stable government.
“Starting from today, I return to the party and will directly participate in forming the parliamentary majority meant to ensure stable government and to manage to accumulate votes necessary for electing president in March next year”, he noted.
“My purpose and of PDM is to participate in creating a majority meant to ensure consistent political support that Moldova needs now: shock therapy in order to take it out of the crisis in terms of economics, social and political”, he added.
On 30 July 2015, immediately after voting Strelet government, Plahotniuc submitted MP mandate.
On 15 October 2015, he announced he suspended himself from the office of PDM’s first deputy head, as well as of party member, till the investigation in the Banca de Economii (Savings Bank) case is clarified, as to avoid insinuations that he would influence the investigation and not to harm the party’s image.
