Chisinau, 31 December /MOLDPRES/ - More oil companies, of which three ones are importing fuels, have notified the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) about a new cut in retail prices for petrol and diesel oil, by an average of 0.4 lei and 0.3 lei per one litre, respectively, after a cheapening that occurred three weeks ago.
The petrol pump price dropped from 17.35 lei to 16.94 lei per one litre, and the one of the diesel oil - from 14.95 lei to 14.64 lei for one litre. The last price cut took place in the beginning of the second ten-day period of December, when oil companies reduced the petrol and diesel oil pump prices by an average of 0.4 lei and 0.6 lei.
Calculations unveiled by oil companies to ANRE show that the cheapening of the petrol and diesel oil, sold at fuel supply stations, is triggered by the decrease in the import prices for these types of fuels.
Presently, 86 enterprises holding licenses for the retail sale of petrol and diesel oil work on the Moldovan oil products market. The concerned products are sold at 624 fuel supply stations.
