Moldovan president, parliamentary factions to resume consultations on new premier candidate

Chisinau, 5 January /MOLDPRES/-President Nicolae Timofti will resume consultations with parliamentary factions and groups today, in order to appoint a candidate for the position of prime minister, the presidential press service has reported.

The president will hold consultations with the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) at 11:00 and the Liberal Party (PL) at 11:30.

President Timofti will also hold a meeting with the Democratic Party (PDM) and the 14 unaffiliated MPs headed by former Communist MP Artur Resetnicov at 12:00.

The unaffiliated MPs of the European People’s Party of Moldova (PPEM), headed by Iurie Leanca, will meet the president at 13:15.

The Party of Communists (PCRM) and Socialist Party (PSRM) were invited to participate in the consultations as well.
