Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister Gheorghe Brega, in the beginning of a today's cabinet meeting, asked for explanations in connection with speculations, according to which the salaries to budgetary employees for January are paid with delay, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
According to acting Finance Minister Anatol Arapu, in January, there are financial resources to pay salaries and social benefits. At the same time, the acting minister stressed that the carrying out of all budgetary payments, including the payment of salaries, was possible only after the temporarily approved budgets for the budgetary institutions had been fully established. Besides, starting from 1 January 2016, the budgetary payments are made with the compulsory use of IBAN (International Bank Account Number).
Thus, the delay which took place in this month at some budgetary institutions is caused by the implementation of the new system, for which the public authorities have been prepared over the last two years.
