Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - State distinctions are to be awarded to more people who actively participated in the rescue of victims of a blast which took place in Chisinau on 9 January, as well as in activities of providing medical assistance and transportation of three patients to Bucharest, at an initiative by acting Prime Minister Gheorghe Brega, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.

In this respect, Gheorghe Brega made a proposal to President Nicolae Timofti to award the state distinction Order of Honour to State Secretary, head of the Department for Emergency Situations at the Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs Raed Arafat.
