Moldovan parliament speaker lays flowers at bust of great Romanian poet

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu has laid flowers at the bust of Mihai Eminescu from the Stefan cel Mare public garden, on the occasion of the writer's 166th birthday anniversary, the parliament's communication and public relations has reported.

"Eminescu was able to describe the life, time, human being, even politics best of all. Everybody should resort to Eminescu's work more often, in order to understand the reality as well as possible," Andrian Candu said.

The Moldovan leadership, MPs, ministers, writers, diplomats, admirers of Eminescu's works participated in laying flowers at the bust.

More cultural events dedicated to poet Mihai Eminescu, as well as to the National Culture Day, marked annually on 15 January, will take place today.
