Prime Minister-designate Pavel Filip starts consultations with the civil society and Moldovan MPs.

08:00- discussions with the 14 former Communist MPs, now members of the parliamentary Social-Democratic Platform for Moldova;

09:00- talks with the faction of Liberal Party (PL);

10:00- discussions with the seven Liberal-Democrat MPs who are part of the new parliamentary majority;

10:30- talks with the faction of the Democratic Party (PDM);

11:30- discussions with trade union and employers’ associations’ representatives.

The Antimafie Movement political party gives a news conference on political issues related to the designation of a new prime minister, at IPN at 11:00.

An exhibition and contest of contemporary art titled, Eminesciana-2016, is staged at the Constantin Brancusi Exhibition centre till 31 January.
