Chisinau, 21 January /MOLDPRES/ - Presidential adviser Vlad Turcanu today informed that he resigned, after he had misinformed the public opinion on 20 January.
Turcanu made the announcement at a news briefing. The former presidential adviser specified that he had not misled the public opinion deliberately. ''In my capacity of spokesman for the head of state, I made statements on the postponing of the ceremony of swearing in office of the government for the other day than the day before; that was the information I held. After 22:00, a decision was taken that the cabinet members take the oath, which actually happened. Being not in full knowledge of the case, I misinformed the public opinion,'' Turcanu said.
Vlad Turcanu said he had informed President Nicolae Timofti the decision to resign.
Vlad Turcanu is 44 years old and is journalist by profession. Starting from 19 April 2012, he has worked as spokesman and adviser on communication of President Nicolae Timofti.
