Romanian government describes new government's investiture as "step forward to strengthening political stability"

Chisinau, 21 January /MOLDPRES/- The Romanian government today issued a communique describing the investiture of the new government in Chisinau as “a step forward to strengthening political stability”.
According to the press release, the Romanian government voices hope that the new government will reconfirm, by political will and concrete action, a pro-European commitment meant to lead to a comprehensive enforcement of the Association Agreement with EU, serious deepening of reforms, as well as to strengthening the rule of law state and macroeconomic stability for the benefit of all citizens.
At the same time, the government’s formation “creates the needed framework for decisive approach, without delay, of domestic challenges accumulated on the last period, in meeting expectations of all Moldovan citizens,” the communiqué said.
The Romanian government reconfirms full openness for developing the bilateral strategic partnership and speeding up cooperation projects underway, whose main beneficiaries are the Moldovan citizens. Also, Romania reaffirms the will to back all efforts of Moldovan authorities to implement European and reforms agenda.
Today, the protests are going on in the capital. Supporters of Truth and Dignity Platform, Party of Socialists and the party led by Renato Usatii came in front of parliament to express their disagreement with investiture of the Filip government and demand snap polls.
On 20 January, thousands of citizens protested outside the parliament building, demanding annulment of the vote for the swearing in office of the cabinet. Subsequently, the protests degenerated and more policemen and civilians were injured.
