Moldovan foreign minister has phone conversation with Latvian counterpart

Chisinau, 21 January /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today had a phone conversation with Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media communication service has reported.

The Latvian diplomat congratulated Andrei Galbur on his swearing in this office. Edgars Rinkevics described the voting of a new government in Chisinau as an important step in overcoming the crisis faced by Moldova.

Minister Edgars Rinkevics stressed that Latvia would keep a close eye on the efforts taken in the promotion of domestic modernisation reforms, the new Moldovan cabinet is set to implement. He reiterated Latvia's support for enforcing the European agenda of Moldova.

Minister Andrei Galbur thanked for congratulations. Galbur said Latvia was a very important partner for Moldova and thanked for the support provided to Moldova through implementation of assistance projects for development.
