Moldovan government approves National Legal Approximation Plan for 2016

Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/-The Moldovan government today approved a National Legal Approximation Plan (PNAL), which is to be used as a national tool to track the implementation of the commitments to transpose EU documents into the national legislation, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
For 2016 so far, the plan includes 64 draft documents, and namely, 20 laws, 33 government decisions and 11 departmental documents. At the same time, 42 documents planned to be transposed into the Moldovan legislation carry new proposals, while 22 documents are to be amended. The enforcement process will be rigorously monitored, and the government is going to be informed on a quarter basis of the implementation stage of PNAL’s provisions.
The plan is meant to monitor the correct transposition of EU documents into the national legislation and is divided into compartments related to such sectors as: financial services, fiscal services, customs law, agriculture and rural development, energy sector, consumer protection, competitiveness, environment protection, public health, informational society, trade, social policy and others.
