Moldovan PM wants stronger cooperation between government, business people

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/-Prime Minister Pavel Filip today held a meeting with representatives of the Moldovan business environment. Attending the meeting were also economics, finance and justice ministers, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
In the beginning of the meeting, Filip enunciated the priorities of the government action programme, noting that its main goal is to enhance citizens’ welfare. According to him, the achievement of this objective is only possible in tight cooperation with the business environment.
“The government understands that Moldova’s development must start from inside. We want a budget able to provide citizens with salaries and boost up the business environment. I am confident in a partnership between the government and Moldovan business people,” the prime minister said.
The Moldovan prime minister added that he would start taking actions to simplify the business development process, by implementing the one stop shop and electronic platforms, as well as by reducing taxes and number of needed authorizations.
For their part, the participants in the meeting tackled more problems of Moldovan business people, including the excessive regulation of certain fields, workforce instability and poor infrastructure.
At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed that the Moldovan business environment would delegate five representatives at the prime minister’s Economic Council, in order to ensure an efficient collaboration in the future.
