Moldovan foreign minister receives new congratulatory messages from European counterparts

Chisinau, 30 January /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur has received new congratulatory messages on behalf of his European counterparts on his appointment to the office, including from foreign ministers of Lithuania, Linas Linkevičius, of Slovakia, Miroslav Lajčák, and of Bulgaria, Daniel Mitov, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s communication and media relations service has reported.
In his message, Linas Linkevičius voiced confidence that the new Moldovan government would continue implementing reforms to meet strategic goals. At the same time, he assured that his country would further remain a reliable partner and a firm supporter of Moldova, ready to share the experience in the European integration process with the Moldovan partners.
For his part, Miroslav Lajčák reiterated the will of Slovak government to further back Moldova’s European integration goals. At the same time, he confirmed his country’s willingness to share the experience in transition period and further maintain Moldova in the top of states benefitting from development assistance. In this context, he encouraged the new Moldovan government in boosting efforts to carry out the reforms seen in the Association Agreement, especially, in the financial-banking, justice and fight against corruption sectors.
Daniel Mitov reiterated his country’s interest in extending and deepening Moldovan-Bulgarian bilateral relations, which had deep roots in history. At the same time, he remarked that the European integration vector chosen by Moldova opened new perspectives for boosting cooperation between the two countries. In this context, he underlined the role of Bulgarian community in Moldova, which represented a natural bridge for strengthening the ties between the two countries.
