Moldovan foreign minister meets Qatari ambassador

Chisinau, 3 February /MOLDPRES/-Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today met Qatari Ambassador to Moldova Mohammed bin Ali Mohammed Al-Maliki, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication has reported.

During the meeting, Galbur praised the positive dynamics of Moldovan-Qatari ties, reiterating Moldova’s availability to enlarge cooperation with Qatar in fields of mutual interest. To this effect, he highlighted the special role the recently opened diplomatic missions in Doha and Chisinau play.

The Moldovan official congratulated his Qatari counterpart, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani on his appointment as Qatari foreign minister, inviting him to visit Moldova in a period of time convenient for both sides.

For his part, the Qatari ambassador confirmed Qatar’s availability to boost up cooperation with Moldova in the commercial-economic and cultural-humanitarian sectors, inclusively by promoting some investment projects.
