Moldovan head of state appoints eight ambassadors under presidential decrees

Chisinau, 3 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Nicolae Timofti today appointed, under presidential decrees:
Vasile Bumacov, as Moldova’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Japan;
Iurie Renita, as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Belgium;
Dumitru Socolan, as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Portugal;
Stefan Gorda, as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Bulgaria;
Vitalie Rusu, as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Czech Republic;
Inga Ionesii, as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Estonia;
Oleg Tulea, as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Hungary;
Gheorghe Leuca, as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Azerbaijan.
The presidential press service has told MOLDPRES that, before signing the decrees, the head of state had a meeting with the nominated ambassadors, during which the officials tackled aspects of Moldova’s foreign policy and the situation in the enlarged region of the Black Sea.
Attending the event were Foreign Minister Andrei Galbur and presidential advisers.
