Moldovan foreign minister receives Dutch ambassador

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today received Bucharest-based Ambassador of the Netherlands to Moldova Stella Ronner-Grubacic, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The diplomats tackled subjects on prospects for the Moldovan-Dutch cooperation, as well as actions on backing the European integration of Moldova, in the context of the Netherlands holding the presidency of the European Union Council.
Minister Andrei Galbur said that the Netherlands was a very important partner for Moldova and thanked the Dutch government for the substantial technical and financial assistance, provided for developing the economy and the banking sector. Galbur highly appreciated the support provided by the cabinet of the Netherlands to reform Moldova’s justice system, as well as to finance a string of projects through MATRA funds.
The sides also exchanged opinions on the social and political situation in Moldova. Minister Andrei Galbur highlighted that the new cabinet was firmly resolute to continue the course of European integration of Moldova and implement the reforms provided for in the Association Agreement with the European Union, in particular, concerning the fight against corruption, reforming the justice system, strengthening the state based on the rule of law.
