Jordan to deepen ties with Moldova

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today met Bucharest-based Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Saker Malkawi, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The two officials approached the present stage and prospects for the bilateral relations, cooperation between the two countries within international organisations, regional situation and major challenges to a sustainable economic and social development.
Minister Andrei Galbur reiterated Moldova’s willingness to extend the cooperation with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in fields of mutual interest. In this context, Galbur welcomed a decision by the Jordanian authorities to recognize the diplomas issued by the Chisinau-based Nicolae Testemiteanu University of Medicine and Pharmacy, stressing that this may serve as a positive example for developing a fruitful cooperation in other sectors as well.
For his part, Ambassador Saker Malkawi conveyed Minister Andrei Galbur cordial congratulations on behalf of his Jordanian counterpart on his appointment to office and made an invitation to visit Jordan in a convenient period for both sides. The ambassador expressed Jordan’s interest to further develop the relations with Moldova, in particular, by promoting the political dialogue, boosting exchanges in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian sectors.
