Moldovan regional development ministry nominates ten priority projects for 2016

Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/ - Regional Development and Constructions Minister Vasile Bitca and the ministry’s team discussed priorities and objectives for the 2016 year and nominated ten important projects at a news conference today, the press service of the Regional Development and Constructions Ministry has reported.
“Starting from 2016, we will have a new National Strategy of Regional Development – a document that will unveil the goals of regions’ development for the next five years. In this context, a regional residual water purifying station will be constructed and a public sewerage system will be developed in Telenesti, ” Vasile Bitca said.
At the same time, according to Bitca, the drinking water treatment station will be restored in the Cahul town and roads of access to the Industrial Park “Raut” stock company will be repaired in Balti. To promote the tourism potential of the north region, a creative and innovation centre PRO Cariera will be built in the Otaci town, Ocnita district, and to develop the industrial potential of the Hincesti town, a bypass road, Chisinau-Hincesti-Cimislia, will be constructed.
As for the constructions sector, we will focus on the approval of the Town Planning and Constructions Code, law on condominium, and will complete the working out of the Plan on National Territory Arrangement. At the same time, we will continue constructing social dwellings. Thus, this year, we will initiate the building in the Leova district and will finalize the construction of social dwellings in the districts of Hincesti, Ialoveni, Soroca, Minister Vasile Bitca also said.
The official added that a new appeal of proposals of projects would be carried out in next summer and the local public authorities would be able to settle some problems of the community by getting financial sources from the National Regional Development Fund.
About 206 million lei will be earmarked to implement regional development projects in 2016, which represent sources of the aforementioned fund, and development partners will provide the equivalent of about 130 million lei.
