Moldovan PM has meeting on issues of Green Card insurance system

Chisinau, 9 February /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip today met representatives of the National Motor Insurers Bureau (BNAA) and the deputy head of the National Commission for Financial Market, Iurie Filip. The sides discussed the evolution of the situation on the auto liability insurance market (RCA) from Moldova and measures for its stabilization, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The participants in the meeting reviewed the events that had taken place on the RCA market of Moldova, especially in terms of BNAA’s participation in the Green Card International Insurance System, as well as cooperation with the competent institutions in this sector from Brussels.
Special attention was paid to actions due to be taken as a priority, to avoid the risk of excluding BNAA from the Green Card system, such as: tighter border checking of truthfulness of green cards issued by national operators, adjusting the legislative framework in the field, strengthening efforts of state law enforcement institutions in investigating criminal cases opened on fraud and harm caused to BNAA.
The prime minister stressed the importance that the state institutions in charge efficiently cooperate and coordinate their actions, in order to minimize the current risks and create a basis for a stable and functional RCA insurance system in Moldova.
