PM says Transnistrian conflict settlement, country's reintegration strategic priorities of Moldova

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today chaired a meeting of the governmental commission for Moldova’s reintegration. The participants assessed the present situation and set actions due to be undertaken for the advancement of the Transnistrian conflict settlement process, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
In the beginning of the meeting, the prime minister said the Transnistrian conflict settlement represents a priority for the Moldovan government. “The mobilization of the foreign partners’ support will contribute to strengthening the capacity of cooperation to this end,” Pavel Filip said.
The prime minister pointed the foremost goals of the cabinet in this sector, among which: maintaining the open and functional dialogue platforms by promoting working meetings in the five-plus-two format, as well as keeping stability in the Security Zone through monitoring and coordinating all actions with the foreign partners.
Also, an objective of the government is giving an impetus to the activity of the sectoral working groups on priority subjects, such as issues of freedom of movement of people and transport, farmers’ access to their lands situated beyond the Tiraspol-Camenca highway in the Dubasari district, work of the Moldova-run Latin-script schools, observance of human rights in the Transnistrian region and fighting the organised crime.
The members of the governmental commission for Moldova’s reintegration spoke out for boosting the process of settlement and promotion of dialogue, backed by international actors. The next five-plus-two meeting is likely to be held in early April 2016.
The participants in the meeting also tackled aspects on the commercial work of the enterprises from the left bank of Dniester and facilitating their trade with European Union member states.
